1) Drink plenty of water. All cells need water to function properly. If your skin cells aren't properly hydrated, waste products may build up in your cells and keep them from functioning properly and looking their best.
2) Eat a healthy diet. Your body is made up of the foods you put into it so if you want it to work properly and look its best, you need to nourish it with nutrients it needs and avoid foods that may damage it. Fruits and vegetables play an important role for not only keeping your skin young, but keeping your whole body in good condition free of disease. They also provide antioxidants for younger, more supple skin.
3) Incorporate a skin care regimen. There are alot of ingredients found in products today that are beneficial and aid in the repair and maintenance of healthy, glowing skin. It's important to invest in the skin you have by using moisturizers, sunblock and specialized skin care that contribute to repairing wrinkles, smoothing fine lines, and increasing collagen and elasticity in skin.
4) Improve your circulation. Our cells need oxygen. And plenty of it. If you spend your days sitting at a desk , your circulation probably isn't as good as it could be. Increase your circulation by getting more exercise, stretching, or getting regular massages. Even taking a short walk or working on the yard can help contribute to circulation. For stubborn areas where fat is localized , try exfoliating your skin which improves circulation while removing old, dead cells. Not only will this give your skin a better overall look, it may also reduce the appearance of unsightly cellulite.
5) Use sunblock everyday. A little sun is good for you. It provides vitamin D and can help give you a sunny disposition, but too much sun can do terrible damage.
